Rodeo Valley // James Lewis Tucker

from 100.00

"Valley winds round with cold salt winds to our back. Wool jacket shields the shadow of hills and blue-grey concrete cold war bunkers overlook the vast expanse of slate. Jagged and drunk with foam and waves. Sailor graves. No harbor for miles, but this valley, respite from the ceaseless motion. "

Rodeo Valley, just north of San Francisco, is home to the Headland Center for the Arts and is a frequent place James visits. He uses a combination of pressure printing and roller height to create a multi-layered print using a total of 9 press runs on our 1931 Vandercook which creates a subtle texture and variation in the sky.
