L.A. STELA // JOHN ZABAWA COLLABORATION

A stele was a wooden or stone slab that was commonly used to express funerary or remembrance purposes in places such as Ancient Egypt, Greece, and China. John has derived strong inspiration from these historic pieces to create his own commemorative piece for The City of Angels. “L.A. STELA” is hand embossed on archival paper and features a myriad of West Coast motifs. With classic iconography ranging from the Beverly Hills palm trees to the Venice Beach ocean tides, this print is equal parts nostalgic and noticeable. View more of John Zabawa’s work here
