Sometimes I See the Light // Tom Jean Webb

from 250.00

Sometimes I See the Light is a 3D letterpress art print by London-based artist Tom Jean Webb that depicts a person donning a bandana and crying gold tears.

While in Joshua Tree, The Aesthetic Union’s founder James Lewis Tucker came across Tom’s work when he was exploring subtle paintings on structures in the middle of the desert. Fast forward to meeting one another at a show in San Francisco, the two came up with a way to transform Tom’s paintings into a 3D textured letterpress print edition.

This project was printed  in an extremely small edition on our 1932 Vandercook 219 letterpress with heavy "blush" 160#, acid free cotton paper, and hand painted gold leaf watercolor. After many months and a trip to London, “Sometimes I See the Light” is the finished product.
